We kicked off the Accelerate Series in style with Educate to accelerate event 1 at Shawbrook Bank’s London offices, bringing together property investors, developers, and finance professionals for an evening of real, practical insight into the 2026 market. Jointly hosted by Shawbrook Bank and CPC Finance, the evening opened with a welcome from Gavin Seaholme, Sales Director of Real Estate at Shawbrook, before Michael Shaikly set the scene with a concise and thought-provoking economic outlook, giving attendees the broader context shaping the property finance landscape this year.
The highlight of the evening was a live deal walkthrough, led by award-winning property developer Mariam Radi alongside Gavin Seaholme and Karl Griggs. The session broke down a real bridge-to-let transaction in detail (the structure, the funding decisions, and the strategy behind it) giving attendees a rare, honest look at how successful projects are actually put together.
The evening concluded with a lively panel debate and Q&A, reflecting on 2025 and what 2026 holds across funding, valuations, HMOs, multi-unit blocks, and commercial to residential conversions. The discussion was candid, wide-ranging, and gave attendees plenty of opportunity to put their own questions directly to the panel.
